The application for Lebanese citizenship through marriage is available to foreign spouses of Lebanese citizens, subject to the following conditions:
The application for Lebanese citizenship through marriage is available to foreign spouses of Lebanese citizens, subject to the following conditions:
- The marriage must be legally registered in the Lebanese civil registers
- At least one year must have passed since that registration
- Both spouses must be available to appear in person at the Embassy at the appointed time

Required Documents
Final, legally effective Lebanese marriage certificate ( Heiratsurkunde )
- Final, legally effective Lebanese marriage certificate (Heiratsurkunde)
- Current Family civil registry from the Lebanese registry
- Birth certificate of the spouse applying for citizenship
- Copies of the passports of both spouses
- Proof that the marriage is registered in the country of the applicant spouse's nationality — this may take the form of:
- the Lebanese spouse's name entered on the applicant's passport, or
- a statement from the civil registry / Foreigners' Authority of the applicant's home country, or
- a certified statement from the embassy of the applicant's home country
