Lebanon participates at ITB Berlin

Lebanon participates at this year's ITB – one of the world’s top travel shows which runs in the German capital from March 5-9 – with a delegation from the Ministry of Tourism headed by the minister Mr. Michel Pharaon and representatives of tour operators and hotel groups to promote Lebanon abroad and to encourage visitors to experience the country's heritage, captivating landscape and myriad of activities.

The Lebanese Minister of Tourism stressed that "the political and security situations started improving in Lebanon with the launch of the new government" adding that "the Lebanese regions which are classified as unsafe are limited and do not constitute more than 15 percent of Lebanon," pointing at the tendency towards activating tourism and achieving balance in tourism development.

Accompanied by the Ambassador of Lebanon in Germany, Dr. Mustafa Adib, and a delegation from the embassy, the minister held some important meetings with public relation companies, reporters, travel agents, and tourist companies to arrange future projects.

Lebanon remains the ideal link between the east and the west not only with its archaeological and religious sights but also its skiing and social scene. Currently three airlines – Lufthansa, MEA and Germania – fly from three German destinations, namely Berlin, Frankfurt and Düsseldorf, to Beirut.
